Short presentation of the event<\/strong><\/span>: Znanstvenici ve\u0107 vi\u0161e od 30 godina govore o globalnom zatopljenju i \u010dovjekovom utjecaju na isto. Pri\u010daju i o toku samih promjena (o vremenskim ekstremima), te prognoziraju mogu\u0107e scenarije temeljene na znanstvenim istra\u017eivanjima i modelima. Ti scenariji redovito uklju\u010duju velike migracije, ugibanja \u017eivotinja i ljudi, nedostatku vode,\u2026 Najcrnja predvi\u0111anja govore otvoreno o tome da \u0107e klimatske promjene stvoriti dvije klase ljudi: oni koji su u mogu\u0107nosti pobje\u0107i, i oni koji nisu. Sve je crno na bijelom. Znanstveni i stru\u010dni radovi se gomilaju. Odgovorne osobe ih ne \u010ditaju, a oni koji \u017eele ne\u0161to promijeniti nailaze na niz prepreka. Prepreke u obliku mo\u0107nih lobija u sprezi s politi\u010darima dr\u017ee taj krug zatvorenim. Na\u017ealost, nije to onaj krug \u201ekru\u017enog gospodarstva\u201c. Stru\u010dnjaci i aktivisti otvoreno nazivaju farsom i demagogijom poruke, odluke i deklaracije koje sti\u017eu sa sastanka svjetskih mo\u0107nika na temu klimatskih promjena. Izgleda da je op\u0107e stajali\u0161te, \u0161to politi\u010dara, \u0161to stanovni\u0161tva planeta, pretvarati se da klimatskih promjena nema i da se ne treba poduzimati ba\u0161 ni\u0161ta – sve \u0107e se samo od sebe nekako rije\u0161iti. A ne\u0107e.<\/span><\/p>\n

Klimatske promjene su ovdje i sada. Mo\u017eemo li i\u0161ta u\u010diniti kao pojedinci kako bismo ih usporili ili zaustavili?<\/p>\n

Ovaj online doga\u0111aj se sastoji od dvije 20-minutne prezentacije profesora geografije, nakon kojih \u0107e u\u010desnici imati priliku postaviti pitanja predava\u010dima ili komentirati prezentacije, a zatim slijedi rasprava na temu u koju se mogu uklju\u010diti svi zainteresirani. Rasprava \u0107e biti moderirana potpitanjima povezanim uz glavno pitanje: \u201e\u0160to mo\u017eemo u\u010diniti kao pojedinci kako bismo usporili ili zaustavili klimatske promjene?\u201c. Ukupno trajanje doga\u0111aja ovisi o trajanju rasprave, ali ne vi\u0161e od 2 sata.<\/p>\n

Doga\u0111aj \u0107e biti organiziran na hrvatskom jeziku uz pomo\u0107 platforme Zoom, u petak 1. travnja 2022. godine od 21.00 sat.<\/p>\n

Scientists have been talking about global warming and human impact on it for more than 30 years. They also talk about the course of the changes themselves (about time extremes), and forecast possible scenarios based on scientific research and models. These scenarios regularly involve large migrations, animal and human deaths, water scarcity,\u2026 The darkest predictions speak openly that climate change will create two classes of people: those who are able to escape, and those who are not. Everything is black on white. Scientific and professional papers are piling up. Those responsible do not read them, and those who want to change something face a number of obstacles. Obstacles in the form of powerful lobbies in conjunction with politicians keep that circle closed. Unfortunately, this is not the circle of the “circular economy”. Experts and activists are already openly calling large meetings of powerful people on this topic as a farce and demagoguery. It seems that the general view, both politicians and the world’s population, is to pretend that climate changes not exist and that nothing needs to be done – everything will work out somehow on its own. But it won’t.Climate change is here and now. Is there anything we can do as individuals to slow or stop the climate changes?This online event consists of two 20-minute presentations by geography professor, after which participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to lecturer or comment on the presentations. This is followed by a discussion on a topic where everybody are welcome. The discussion will be moderated by sub-questions related to the main question: “What can we do as individuals to slow down or stop the climate changes?”.
