Short presentation of the event: The complex scenario in Venezuela has decimated the capacity of geographic work, causing a decrease in the number of professors and students. However, these events have allowed many geographers to practice geography in Venezuela. From professors and students who face the unfavorable circumstances due to the low budgets for universities and the lack of budgetary capacity for research and extension. There are the professionals who from different corners of the country (and from abroad) are doing research linked to the broad background of geographic practice aimed at doing geography in Venezuela. That is why we must make visible the work of geographers by being present and shouting at the top of our lungs…. Long live Geography!
