Description:

The event “Meet in Tornado Alley” features an interactive quiz titled “Ne vėjai galvoje” (“Not Just Hot Air”), combining diverse challenges, including hands-on and physical tasks related to wind and extreme weather phenomena. Participants will also explore a small exhibition of newly discovered rare fossils, experience an immersive virtual reality journey, allowing them to explore wind turbines and rise above them for a unique perspective on wind energy, and visit a biology and chemistry laboratory, where unexpected microscopic observations will reveal hidden details of the natural world.
Suitable for families, students, and the general public.

Main objectives:

To engage the public in geoscience through interactive activities, increase awareness of wind-related extreme weather and renewable energy, and encourage curiosity and critical thinking using hands-on tasks, real scientific data, fossils, and immersive technologies.
