Nuit de la Géographie 2025 : Circulations

Description:

The researchers of the UMR Développement et Sociétés (Université Paris 1), in collaboration with the actors of the Cité du Développement Durable, invite you to a unique evening on the theme of “Circulations”. Set in the enchanting Jardin d’Agronomie Tropicale de Paris, this event offers an immersive journey through space, time and ideas. Two thematic itineraries will guide visitors through the garden, where a series of conferences, debates and creative presentations will explore the many meanings of ‘circulations’ – from human migrations and knowledge transfers to cultural exchanges and environmental flows.
Each route will take you to different stations where experts, researchers and students will share their insights. The evening will culminate in a joint finale of music, followed by a social gathering.

Main objectives:

This evening, part of the international “Geonight” event, explores the many facets of “Circulations” through thematic stops at the Jardin d’Agronomie Tropicale de Paris. From the movement of people and ideas to the flow of knowledge, cultural practices and goods, participants are invited to reflect on how circulations shape territories and societies.
