HACKING M0N0P0L1: a critical gaming session to understand urban inequalities

Description:

The Museum of Geography of the University of Padua invites you to a collective gaming session dedicated to the spatial dynamics of the contemporary housing market. Through the use of the HACKERARE M0N0P0l1 experimental kit, created by Prof. Francesco Chiodelli and Zeroscena, we will deconstruct the traditional mechanics of the world’s most famous property trading game.

This session utilizes the game board as a tool for critical inquiry, allowing participants to analise the impacts of aggressive building speculation and the resulting housing crisis. This event offers a practical approach to understanding complex urban theories, transforming a familiar pastime into a powerful educational instrument for social and geographical awareness.

This event is organised in collaboration with the AIIG – Associazione Italiana Insegnanti di Geografia, Sezione Veneto.
