Crafting landform models of underground valley and mountain
Main objectives:
In response to Tokyo’s susceptibility to natural disasters like earthquakes and flooding, disseminating geographical knowledge and critical thinking skills in future generations is crucial. To address this need, an engaging workshop is planned, focusing on the creation of topographic models of above-ground mountains and underground valleys. Led by the “Outreach of Geography” Research Group and the Event Committee, these activities will be integrated into the annual conference of GAJ (Geographical Association of Japan), with the overarching goal of enhancing the visibility and societal contribution of the association.
