L’evento, promosso dalla research track “Cities & Peripheries” dell’Area di Scienze Sociali del GSSI, intende presentare al pubblico i risultati del workshop “L’Aquila in Carta: rappresentazioni di una città”: un esperimento in tre fasi di cartografia partecipata della Città dell’Aquila, condotta con residenti aquilani e passanti nel corso dell’ultima Notte Europea dei Ricercatori (Sharper 2025). Le tre attività (nuvole di parole; mappe partecipate ed emozionali della città) hanno avuto l’obiettivo di catturare le dimensioni affettive, discorsive e spaziali delle percezioni e del senso di attaccamento ai luoghi dei residenti aquilani e di chi attraversa la città.

Promoted by GSSI’s Social Sciences Research Track Cities & Peripheries, the event presents to the public the findings of the workshop: “L’Aquila in Carta: rappresentazioni di una città”, a three-tier participatory mapping activity conducted with local residents and bystanders of L’Aquila during the last Sharper Night 2025. The three tiers (i.e., word cloud, participatory mapping, and mental mapping) aimed to capture the affective, discursive, and spatial configurations of residents’ perceptions and sense of belonging to the city.
