Night among feathers and membranes

Description:

Visitors will be welcomed by the unlit Podsreda Castle. The event leaders will lead visitors from the atrium through dark staircases and corridors to the Renaissance hall, where there will be a short video projection about owls and bats of our area. This will be followed by a guided tour of two rooms in the castle: the “Bistrica River” exhibition, where nocturnal birds will be presented, and the castle attic, where the little horseshoe bats that live there will be presented.
In dry weather, a short night hike will follow into the nearby forest to the castle pond. Visitors will have a chance to listen to the sounds of animals at night.

Visitors will learn more about nocturnal animals, such as birds and bats, accept them more, and become aware of their importance to humans and sustainable development.
