Description:
Event will be organized at the University of Zadar, Department of Geography. This public educational event aims to promote island geography and raise awareness of islands as unique and dynamic spaces shaped by natural, cultural, and social processes. Designed for schoolchildren and the general public, the event will offer an interactive and inclusive learning environment through a series of workshops, quizzes, and educational games.
Main objectives:
Participants will explore key geographical concepts related to islands, such as insularity, connectivity, environmental challenges, and everyday life on islands, using age-appropriate and participatory methods. The activities are intended to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of islands not only as physical landscapes but also as lived and meaningful places.
