La nostra Livorno: un unconventional urban walk

The VespucciColombo Institute, in collaboration with AIIG Toscana, invites citizens to participate in the International Night of GeographyGeoNight, on April 10, 2026. The program will begin at 3:15 pm in the Aula Magna with the presentation of the itinerary Our Livorno“, followed by a geographical walk guided by the students of the Institute through the iconic places of the city, such as the Venice district, viale Italia and Mascagni terrace. The initiative aims to promote culture and geographical education, highlighting the strategic value of the discipline for the formation of aware citizens and for the rediscovery of the territory. By uniting school and public in a global event, GeoNight aims to make geographical knowledge accessible and participatory for the entire local community. The evening will end with a convivial aperitif at the Mercato delle Vettovaglie (by reservation).

Description:

The event includes an urban walk based on the suggestions derived from a questionnaire given to local students, which aims to give students perspective on the most important and evocative places in Livorno.

To investigate different perceptions of the urban context of the city of Livorno and spread geographical culture
