GeoNight 2026, organized by the Centro de Estudios Turísticos de la USC, will highlight the essential role of geography in understanding and shaping contemporary tourism dynamics. Through a series of seminars, the event will explore spatial analysis, territorial planning, sustainability, and the evolving relationships between places, communities, and visitors.
The event will culminate in the award ceremony of the 1st CETUR Bachelor’s and Master’s Thesis Awards (TFG & TFM), recognizing outstanding research that applies geographic thinking and methodologies to real-world tourism challenges. By foregrounding spatial perspectives and territorial approaches, GeoNight 2026 emphasizes how geographic research contributes to more balanced, resilient, and place-sensitive tourism development.
