Ever-Changing Earth
Description:
Most of what affects us on our planet – happens in thin slice, no thicker than few dozen of kilometers. By using satellite imagery from NOAA and EUMETSAT satellites and visualizations from NASA Scientific Visualization Studio and remapping them in fulldome planetarium format we’re going to observe ever changing processes in trophospere, land and oceans – thin slice of Earth. After 12 minutes long demonstration event visitors will have an opportunity to see and touch 3D printed models of interesting places from Earth and learn about cool websites to study our planet for themselves, ask questions and get answers.
Main objectives:
– to demonstrate intricate and complex Earth systems
– to show public the importance of Earth observations from space and modeling of Earth systems
– to educate public about GIS, digital elevation models and their applications.
