Il webinar è dedicato alla musica composta con modelli matematici. Permette di entrare nel laboratorio di composizione dove si dimostra come oggetti matematici, della natura e della società vengono trasformati in musica. Il metodo è illustrato con l’ascolto dei brani musicali “Città del mondo”, “Fiumi del Nord America” e “Acque della Siberia” accompagnati da tre rispettivi video.

The purpose of the webinar is to demonstrate how mathematical models can be used to compose music. Mathematical objects (such as space, numbers, functions, geometric figures), objects of nature (such as rivers, stalactite and stalagmite structures) and objects from society (such as towns, road network, census population, poems) are transformed into music. The method is illustrated through the listening and analysis of three compositions and their respective videos: “Cities of the World”, “Rivers of North America” and “Waters of Siberia”. The webinar is intended for anyone who is interested in the three areas of knowledge mentioned above, either professionally or for personal reasons.

Objectives:

Illustrare il metodo che mira ad attuare la sinergia fra matematica, geografia e musica. L’incontro è rivolto non solo a musicisti, ma a tutti coloro che si occupano sia professionalmente sia solo per passione, delle tre aree di sapere sopra citate.
