India, the giant dwarf – the different faces of the country’s social geography

Description:

Last year, after the date of Earth Day in April, it received significant media coverage that in 2023 India pushed China, the undisputed leader in the world, from the throne of the world’s most populous countries and took the first place with its population of 1.426 billion – 1.428 in other countries – as published in the domestic press. At the same time, the socio-economic development of the country could not keep up with the growth of its population. India, a giant in population geography, lags behind its rivals in several respects. In my richly illustrated presentation, I take these areas one by one and look for answers to the causes.
